Picture the scene:

It’s 60yrs from now. You’re in you’re nursing home. Some old bloke, Nigel, is in the corner raving about his lacrosse socials… “ooo we went to mbargos…” Naff. He’s got no mates.

You roll in on your electric scooter, the room falls silent.

You whisper two words into your carer’s ear… “I sail.” Suddenly everyone wants to know you. You’re painting Picasso’s on the wall with curry, you’re downing sherry’s faster than Brenda and everyone wants to be you’re mate.

 

Don’t be like Nigel. Come to sailing socials.

Not much has changed since Nigel’s time at UBSC, and you can expect the infamous sailing socials to be something like this… Everyone is welcome at a UBSC social.

Whether you grew up on a sail boat or you have never stepped in one in your life, we would love to for you to come down and join us each Wednesday night.

 

Each week the social will be different, ranging from curry socials to pub quizzes to the annual Xmas dinner and Bristol Brew…, with the night always ending in our home, Lizard Lounge.

If Nigel is at his daily bingo game and unable to chat… please do reach out to your social secs this year, Ellie and Alfie with any questions!!
