Bristol Brew 2016!

The Bristol Brew 2016 started with light airs on Saturday and despite the cold racing got underway on time. The wind built throughout the day to a steady force 3-4 allowing for perfect racing conditions. After some close and exciting racing Exeter Black and Bristol red were both unbeaten at the end of the first day however Exeter were ahead with lower average points scored. The teams then headed back to Bristol for a fantastic social on the Saturday night, and the racing got underway in the gold silver and bronze leagues early Sunday morning. With more wind than on Saturday the leagues were finished by two o’clock and it was time for the semis and finals. Qualifying for the semi finals were Exeter Black, Cardiff Black, Exeter Blue and Bath Blue. Exeter Black and Blue both won their semi finals, and Exeter black went on to win the Finals in 2 races. Well done to the 18 teams that braved the cold and to the organisers who managed to run 136 races over the weekend.
